Fianl week

This is the stadium we have built. it looks pretty cool. Vicky has done an awesome job. and so has everyone else else in the class.

i love the field, it looks so realistic and everything about it looks even better. i don't think i will ever be visiting second life again, but it was cool to see how it all works.

week 13

Today i have created the clothes and flag i talked about last week, the main colour scheme is green, brown and black. The way you are able to realise who's team is who, is due to the colours being the opposite.


i have also made a gun that shoots out Wood Lattice. its pretty cool. As you can see, i have made 3 Wood Lattice's.




i have also made a rotating rock using script. it looks a bit weird, but it shows the effect.

week 11 and 12

last week, we each got allocated jobs for the Vic Uni land. i chose to create the clothes that the avatars will wear when they are playing the game in the stadium. Today i have looked up old clothes and started to create the clothes using photo shop. they will kind of look like old school/old age clothes with a tie and polo top, and on the bottom, they will have 3/4 pants with socks under it and black shoes. i have also been asked by Vicki to create a flag so it can be placed on a pole either in or out of the stadium.

class 10

As a class we have discussed the real story behind our our stadium, is that there is a village of dead people placed somewhere in the stadium. the reason of the deaths was because of a construction accident.

We still have not got into further details about anything, but we have made our storyline, and things will begin from there.

Second Life Story

They started playing and just as on team scored a goal, the crowd road, jumping up and down in their seats cheering. Punches where thrown, and language was spoken but out of no where, the ground started shaking and it started to crack, but as time went on, nothing seemed to change.

The players continued playing, and once again the crowd cheered as a penalty was made, a fight stared between two players on the field. Everyone was unsure of why this was happening; so one member in the crowd started verbally abusing the other members on the field. Slowly the crowd stopped yelling, and began to sit down.

This time, instead of the floor shaking, sounds from under the felid appeared. No one was able to make out the words, or even pick up on who was talking. But the noise got louder and louder as time went on. People were yelling ‘Ghosts! Ghosts!’ and running for their life, before a man appeared with a knife with blood dripping from it. The crowd ran fast calling out ‘It’s a vampire! It’s a vampire!’

If the crowd stuck around, they would have learnt that it wasn’t a vampire at all it was someone who they never would have expected. Although he looked like a vampire and spoke like one, he was someone of good and not evil. He was never given the opportunity to come out and announce who he was to anyone, but this time the vampire thought things might have been different. The vampire went back under the field confused and hurt.

Later that day, people in the street were continually talking, and acting scared, until they decided that the field should be closed down. One resident however, who never feared anything and one man who stuck around to watch the vampire, decided he was going to head back into the field and try search for the person who everyone was talking about.

He reached the middle of the field and tried calling out for the vampire, however he didn’t appear. He tried again, but nothing. He stared to walk away, but an idea came to him. He went back home, gathered all of his pots and pans, and anything within his house that would make noise. Headed back to the stadium as fast as he could. On the way he noticed his friends, he tried avoiding them so they would not try talking him out of it however, it didn’t work.


He explained his plan, and they all stared to support him but were horrified to go back and face their fears. As he reached the middle of the ground, he started making as much noise as he possibly could with everything he had.

Again the floor started shacking, and cracks began, but this didn’t stop the man making noise. He just banged and smashed everything harder until the vampire appeared for the second time. As the vampire started appearing, the lights went out. The man only a little scared at this point in time didn’t run, but stayed quiet. The vampire slowly appeared and the man started to step back as a horrific smell came from under the field.

The vampire said “no! I’m not going to hurt you. I need your help. I need you to listen to me”. The man asked “why” and the vampire stated, “there is a killer among you and he needs to be caught”. The man didn’t understand, and asked who the killer was. The vampire said “the mans name is Brett. He killed me, and this is why I have a knife with blood in my hand” I’m still alive, but I wont be for long. I want to stand face to face with the person who tried to stab me and is responsible for my death”.

The man said, “I don’t know a Brett, I’m sorry I cant help you” and the vampire said “his name wad Brett, but his real name was Keegan Tall”. The man stopped breathing, fell to the floor, and knocked his head. The vampire went up close to him and laughed, pulled the man back under the field and as his body vanished from the field, it closed up behind him.

Transport – Flying discs for sport.
Landforms – Flat terrain with some foliage.

Technical – Weapons for killing people and caging stuff.

Communication – Instant chat, emails, calling, signs.
Type of Government – Nope
Built environment – The only urbanised section is the stadium and the outside will be a plain.
Belief – There is no predominant belief system.
Play – Sport.
Life Pattern – No specific patterns of living.
Family – No family’s.
Fashion - People wear what ever they want except when games are being played in a stadium, a uniform will then be used.

Appearance - No typical appearance.
Social standing – None apply to our island.
Aim in life – To have fun!

Strength and weaknesses – No strengths or weaknesses.
Communication – Instant chat, emails and calling.
Sensory perception – Sight and sound.
Perception, memory – None, maybe records regarding the stadium e.g. game stats.

Class 4 part c

I designed this in Second life. It's a place for people t sit down and have a talk. looking at the textured walls as well as a comfy seat. Im not a professional at making anything as this is the second time i have used second life, however it was nice to experiment and see how everything works n build something unusual.

Class 4

I see myself everyday, its good to see what i would look like if i had a choice lol. We both wear black, and have our hair out, but there is a major difference in looks.

Class 3

The first place i visited was was a nightclub with the name - !*THINK DIFFERENTLY LOUNGE*!

This was an interesting place to visit. i wouldn't most likely not visit there again during the day, as there was no interaction between people.

However, on the upside i would definitely visit this club during the night, because as the design, it looks awesome and would be a great place for interactive between people and a place to chill-out

















The second place i looked at was -**The Blue Dolphin Jazz Club And Shopping Center**

I got to have a chat with a few people, and have a look around. i like that there was water and seats and other objects around

However there isn't many things to do on this land and i wasn't on it for a long time, but once you get into a conversation, it was pretty good.

















The last place i looked at was - MyControl Speedway

This was a very quiet and peaceful place. There was no noise, and no one around to bother you or start chatting to you, but if you are after meeting people then this place isn't really the best place to go.

i would visit this pace again, however i would try to go at a more suitable time (if there is one) to see people race.



Overall todays class was pretty exciting, i got to have my first go at second life, i changed the appearance of to my character, and stated purchasing things. i had a look around at other places, but as soon as it loaded i just moved on.

As a class we have discussed what type of objects we want on our land, and we have managed to come up with the idea of making it the MCG. If we are unable, to create the MCG, we will most likely make our own.

Today was a pretty good class, we started thinking about our second life, had class votes to make it a theme, talked about what we will be creating for on the land, and discussing secrets!

Part of the town that i will be working with, is creating a nightclub, the other 2 member i will b working with is Jarred and Daniel.

Our group discussed what type of feel and look we want to create. We also did research by looking at other clubs and creating new ideas.

An idea we came up with is to have nightclub with 2 levels. (the link below is Jarred's blog with a insight to some nightclub we researched)

Today was a pretty exciting class tho.

Class 1

Todays 1st class was pretty awesome, we were introduced to the second life, augmented reality and virtual reality, it was interesting to learn about the different things people are interested in and other multimedia work. we also started a blog!!
